Retrosketches #6 for A Blog Named Hero

This is my second post of the day, I just had the idea to make this card and wanted to get it in one of the challenges below before they closed. (Scroll down if you want to see my previous card).

I'm going to enter this card into 2 challenges, the Retrosketches as well as A Blog Named Hero.

I have really been meaning to play in the Retrosketches challenges since I was made aware of them but I am not sure what held me back, however, I made this one!   I changed it from a square looking card to more rectangular one but otherwise stayed within the sketch 100%.

I love butterfly stamps, and have accumulated a few Hero Arts ones, I just cannot help myself, they are all so beautiful.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah; Designer Paper (Teresa Collins)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers
Stamps: Hero Arts (Traditional Butterfly - E5388; sentiment - CL335)
Other: Spellbinders #18; Foam tape adhesive; black jute (Michaels)

All these pieces of designer papers are actually scraps from a card I made yesterday but will only post later.  I am still trying to make sure that they do not disappear into that basket which then just grows bigger and bigger!

I covered the entire front of the 5" X 3.5" notecard with designer paper.  I had a few small strips of co-ordinating paper which I then adhered to a piece of white cardstock and then die cut with the Spellbinders #18 die.  What do you think?  It makes a nice background!  The butterfly was coloured with Copics and I made the antennae with some jute (I was not in the mood to fussy cut those tonight).  I then adhered the die cut with foam tape for dimension and the butterfly wings are also popped up a little.

Thank you for visiting!  Have a wonderful evening.  It's almost 11pm here and I think I will try to get into bed before midnight at least one night!
