Paper Smooches: Sparks Challenge

I don't think I have ever played in one of the Sparks Challenges that Kim puts together, and I have no idea why I decided to play with this one because to be honest, this inspiration photo totally sent me for a spin as my mind tried to think through it logically - and all that my uncreative brain could see was words and the colour orange and blue!

Now I have to add that Kim is very nice about her challenges and always gives you a lot of prompts, long lists of what it triggered for her!  If only my brain could work like hers there would be much less stress in my craft room.

Ok, so now that I got all of that off my chest, here is my card which I have to say I think is cute! But that's got nothing to do with my abilities, more to do with Kim's creative abilities when it comes to drawing images!

Surely everyone must find this guy to be a really cute gnome!

I used PTI cardstock to make my card, shaping it with a Spellbinders die.  The background panel was stamped in Soft Pool ink from Hero Arts using a stamp from Paper Smooches called "Potpourri".  The sentiment is from "Sentiment Sampler" and the gnome is from "Forest Whimsy".  I coloured that funny guy with copics.

I think I'll keep this one until October for my Brother in-laws birthday!  Not that he looks anything like that but I think he will get a kick out of it!

Thank you for visiting and I have to say that I am very touched by my new followers, thank you for taking the time to come and visit me!  Wishing you all a wonderful day!

You make me laugh right out loud, Brenda - I feel the same way! Kim does a great job of prompting, but I've been thinking about this challenge and my brain is spinning! You got it, though - a perfect take and a darling card! Love how you colored the funny guy.....a winner in my book! Love it.

Brenda - I hear you about this inspiration photo - it was a little difficult and I had kinda given up and resigned myself to just sit this one out. I just love (and envy) the way that Kim just throws out a list of all the things that might inspire you, and even gives a list of stamps that might work well for the challenge. I think your card turned out really cute. Gotta love that gnome! I did finally get some inspiration and joined in on the challenge too!
