Valentine Exchange

It's that time of the year again and Anita was very kind once again to organise a card exchange amongst Hero Arts Flickr friends.  I was partnered up with Cheiron and she has just let me know that my card arrived today so I will share it with you.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah; designer paper: Making Memories (Je t'Adore)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Copic markers
Stamps: Hero Arts (Traditional Butterfly - E5388; CL402 - sentiment); PTI (Fancy Flourishes)
Other: pearls; PTI large scalloped die; Holographic Embossing powder

I'm not one to send Valentines' cards to a woman, it's all a bit strange to me, but I just enjoyed the process of trying to make something pretty and feminine that a fellow crafter could enjoy.

Of course the designer papers made it very easy!  I added a small pearl at each indentation of the scalloped piece.  The butterfly is embossed with Holographic embossing powder, I really love the shine it gives.  And I propped up the wings with dimensional adhesive.

I hope you had a wonderful day today!  My hubby will be home in the morning, I can hardly wait to see him!  And my daughter finally learned to ride her bicycle on her own yesterday and now that's all she wants to do!  I am a very proud Mommy!

Ah! I do remember the joy of the day I finally mastered my bicycle! It opens up a whole new world. Of course, back then, it was safe for a kid to take off early Saturday morning with a packed lunch (no cell phones or bottled water!) and return before dark. Good for your daughter! Love this dear card - that butterfly is very special with that shine (I'll look for that powder). I's sure Cheiron (a real sweetheart) loved it.
