Mojo, Mojo Where Art Thou....

Aagh!!!  I am getting so frustrated!  I sit and stare and .... nothing...is...happening!  What's up with that!

I'm supposed to be doing the Clean & Simple Online Card Class, which I am reading up every day, and still nothing.  I'm going through the Hero Arts Hostess blog hop every morning, and I am loving everything I see, but somehow I cannot translate it into my own work!  Is it always this hard when one comes back from a 2 week break or is it just me?!

Here is my puny little 4 X 4 card. (Oh yes, and my sentiment is skew, oh well...this was not meant to be).

Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Antique Linen
Stamps: Hero Arts
Other: dimensional squares; clear embossing powder

Maybe the card tells a story, I am just sitting and thinking about my hubby, and the family and the future...and life in general...oh boy...to be a woman!  I know it will all become clear in time and along with that, so will my card making!  Just bear with me!

Have a really awesome day!

I always walk away from it for bit Brenda. It seems to help to do something else. But other than the wonky sentiment...IT'S CUTE ~ I love that little chair!! ;)

Hi Brenda
I am sorry to hear that you are struggling at the moment. I am sure you Mojo will be back soon, its always like that after a break. I had a missing mojo after christmas, but after looking through the flickr site and lots of blogs(plus the addition of some new stamps)it has return with a vengence and there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day now. Bear with it, your new creations will be on your blog before you know it!!!

Aww, you sound so frustrated, Bren. The only thing I can tell you, is it happens to all of us - to me right after Christmas - couldn't find a bit of mojo for at least two weeks! I usually just stamp a favorite image and color it because that way I at least feel like I'm creating something. It'll come back soon, and probably with full force, so be ready! :)

I really like this card! It's a perfect take on the class sketch, and don't beat yourself up about the sentiment - I can't stamp a straight one for the life of me! Hang in there, girl. Sending you a hug!

Hey sister friend! No worries...I think I have a message you might relate to...it's that 'Table of 8" email going around: "May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us."

Brenda, I dread coming back from a break for this very reason - it ALWAYS happens to me. Just keep playing and eventually you'll be pleased with your work again (though I think your card here is wonderful!)

This card is awesome--and clean and simple. :) Sometimes I got to the store and look at their cards. Then I am like--oh yeah, I can make something better than that. It helps :) And I see that you posted something else....mojo is back! :)

Love the graphic nature of this card, B, but I don't like the ominous tone of your post......
:( *sniff*

Hi Brenda! So sorry to hear about your frustrations with creating right now! I totally understand. What has helped me to get out of it is something new! Playing with something new really helps. Or recreating a card that I've made before but with different colors, different stamps it never ends up being the same! Love your card today anyways great pp choice and colros!

It's always so hard coming back from a break... I find if I CASE a card, I seem to get some ideas and make changes and suddenly the MOJO's there. Hang in there.

Hang in there, Brenda! I was feeling the same way a few weeks ago and then it was like it returned overnight. I love the bold look of the chair.

Awe...I know how it feels; been there too and I happens to me off and on:) Don't worry about it; although I am aware that this is easier said as done... But your card IS gorgeous and your mojo WILL come back.
Take care; enjoy your weekend!

I love the statement this card makes...it really packs a punch! I think you are too hard on yourself (I know I am at times)when it comes to creating. When I am struggling I either keep it really simple or don't make anything at all! ;)
