Thanks

The Lawnscaping Challenge this week, sponsored by none other than Simon Says Stamp, is to create something with a Thank You theme.  I used three Lawn Fawn sets to create my one layer card.

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento; Copic Markers
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (Critters in the Forest; Fly Free; Many Thanks)

I was in the mood to do a little bit of colouring yesterday and decided to make this card, creating a kind of a fence with the logs.  I love those little birdies!  Nothing to explain here, it was simply fun.

So today I did my 16.5 mile race, it was hot for November, and humid, so conditions were not ideal.  And unfortunately, although I did manage to do the distance, I was in quite a bit of pain from my left foot.  But this time it was easier to make a decision.  I run because it brings me joy, and as you know, if you have been following my blog, it has not brought me joy the last few weeks.  So, without sadness, I have decided to tone down my mileage and focus on some Half Marathons, 13.1 miles, which is long enough.  I hope that with the decrease in training volume my feet will heal a little and hopefully, I will regain that sense of enjoyment I am missing so much.

So I am off to ice my foot as it is giving shooting pains as I type, but I am sure it will feel much better by tomorrow.

So, thank you to all of you who left me your well wishes for today, it all made my day that much brighter.

First and foremost....your card is adorable....where o' where do you get your creative ideas from? Secondly, "playing in pain" ceases to be play and becomes work so you are right to tone down your mileage until your body heals. One of my closest friends is a marathoner and absolutely scales back when necessary. And, I truly think that when you are able to run with less discomfort your level of enjoyment and sense of running "peace " will return a hundredfold!

A beautiful one-layer card, B! The colors are so vivid on this- it's awesome! Love how you used the sentiment in this :)
It hurts to see you hurting and limping around my friend! Give the feet a break for a bit girl! Poor things :( Hope you feel at least a little better in the morning!

Brenda, LOVE that "fence" you created with the trees! Truly CLEVER! And those birdies are Adorable! Sorry about your foot but you are so AMAZING! And when your foot has a chance to heal, you will find that sense of joy again. So for now, you will find your joy with coloring! Be well, my friend!

This is adorable Brenda! So love your design and the cheerfulness that this card brings. Seems that you have been really busy. Trying to catch up on my blog commenting and will do the same here at your amazing place. Sorry that it has been awhile since I have been here. Things have been hectic but you have still been on my mind. Hope your feeling much better these days. The creative juices seem to be flowing and I am happy for you. Nothing worst than not having any mojo, and I have been there more times than not lately. Love your card and wishing you a great work week. Hugs.

Too cute Brenda. Sorry to hear that your foot is paining you. Doing the lesser distances should help. I've done a few half marathons in the past... walking though not running. just take it easy.
