Poppy Field

What do you think of this inspiration photo over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog!  It's so beautiful I want to touch it!

Not only that, I wanted to get out my little Penny Black "Poppies" stamp and make something, a field of poppies, how original!

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah Natural White
Ink: Copic Markers; Memento Tuxedo Black; Forest Moss Distress Ink
Stamps: Penny Black (Poppies - 3949H); PTI (Tiny Tags; Background Basics: Houndstooth)
Other: Twine (PTI); Tiny Tags Die (PTI); Double Heart Punch

I used my Stampamajig to repeatedly stamp the poppies because it is quite a small stamp.  After some major colouring I adhered that piece and went on to stamp the Houndstooth with some Forest Moss distress ink.  Not much to it really, a bit of twine, a tag and a little red heart covered in Glossy Accents.

If you can, why not make something based on that inspiration photo, this is what Simon Says Stamp has to offer to the winner:

Thanks for visiting, I really enjoy all your lovely and caring comments!  And thank you to those who are giving me encouragement about my race on Sunday!

Lovely, Brenda - so cheery and bright. Love how you repeated that PB stamp and used the hounds-tooth for your base. Good luck!

Love your interpretation on this, B. It's perfect! I really like the houndstooth- it's so rich and great job with the poppies! You can almost not even tell that it was the same stamp over and over.
Beautifully done :)
