Unconventional Christmas

I have been wanting to experiment with unconventional Christmas colours, just for a change you know.  I am really loving the Autumn Rose cardstock from PTI and decided to try it out and came up with a very simple design, thanks to some gorgeous My Mind's Eye designer paper that Lisa had shared with me some time back.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); patterned paper (My Mind's Eye - Garden Vignettes)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics
Stamps: PTI (Bells & Boughs)

I love that designer paper, it has some subtle script on it and some embossed foliage that has some glitter for that added sparkle.

Seeing as I still has some of that paper left I made a second version:

This time I used the larger bell and bough and I embossed the bell with black embossing powder.

Wishing you a fabulous Sunday.  We are going to go and fetch my daughter's little school friend and take them both down to the beach to play, just a nice day out of the house.  The weather here is just perfect today and I need some fresh air!

I can testify to the fact that these are beautiful! Colors that you wouldn't expect, but there is something really rich about them that I love. The papers take center stage and the pretty bells just top it off nicely :)

what adorable cards Brenda. That PP makes beautiful backgrounds. The Sentiments are lovely too. Wish PTI overseas shipping wasn't so expensive as this looks like a lovely set.

Hi Brenda, I love both of your cards--the non-traditional colors are perfect for your design. These cards are awesome. Hope that you and your family had a great time at the beach. My husband and I spent most of today doing nothing. Hope that you had a wonderful WCMD yesterday. Take care and God bless.
