It's so funny, invariably, subconsciously, when my husband goes away, I land up making an "I Miss You" card or something with a sentiment along those lines!
I had coloured in another "Some Odd Girl" image the other day and today I was inspired to actually use her. I dug out some very, very old paper, really, probably 10 years old, so I cannot tell you who it is by, but it's nice and retro and I think it looks great with my coloured image, HollyDay Gwen. I like her because although she was released as a Christmas stamp, she can be used for anything really.
Paper: notecard (Paper Studio); Neenah; patterned paper (unknown)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics; Memento Pear Tart; Shabby Shutters DI
Stamps: Some Odd Girl; Hero Arts (Envelope Pattern)
Other: stitching; gems; Sizzix Tag die
The Simon Says Stamp challenge for this week is to use sparkle and bling! I am not really a sparkly or lots of gem type of person, but I did do just a little on the above card with a few gems and some glossy accents on her eyes, hairclip, shoes...not much. And this is what you could win, so I guess it's totally worth a try:
I've never done that wonky sewing but it was fun, so I may have to do it again!
