Now that we are in August, I felt like experimenting with some other manufacturers whose stamps I had admired for some time but had never purchased. So, this month I selected WPlus9. Hero Arts has set the bar for me certainly in the arena of high quality stamps, especially clear stamps! Well, I have to say that I am more than impressed with what I received in the post from WPlus9 today! Here is my card using their fabulous set of 13 clear stamps, it's called Magical Moments.
Ink: CTMH (Juniper dye ink); Versamark; Spiced Marmalade & Walnut Stain DI
Stamps: WPlus9 (Magical Moments)
Other: Corner chomper; Clear embossing powder; Dimensional squares
I used the single peacock feather and clear embossed it repeatedly on the brown cardstock. The peacock itself was stamped with Versamark and clear embossed and then I used sponge daubers to ink up the various areas with different colours. I then adhered the peacock with dimensional squares.
My design is quite a simple one. I wish I could have known how to add a bit more wow factor to it, maybe some ribbon or gems, but I just don't think I am that kind of girl you know. So it's plain, but my favourite piece on the card....the brown embossed strip! Something about the shape of that feather!
We are going to the beach for a week leaving this weekend! I am trying to make some cards to post along the way, hopefully I will get it all done. But in case I don't get back here before Friday, see you all in a week and a bit!

Love how you colored the peacock with the blue around the edge! Have a lovely break at the beach seeing how hot it is in Texas at the moment!
So pretty... love the peacock and the brown DP with peacock feathers on it. Great sentimetn to go along as well. Gosh! You stayed without shopping without a month. Some self control there. Lol.
