Paper: cardstock (PTI); Patterned Paper (Making Memories: Paper Reverie "Brun Antique")
Ink: Copic markers; Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL480; S507; E5465)
Other: Spellbinders Netabilities (Big Scalloped Squares & Large Circles); EK Success label punch; black pearl (Hero Arts); Embroidery thread
Ok, I like this better than my first attempt, maybe because there was no real technique involved. I had this idea of a red fox and I wanted to pop him/her up on some dimensional squares. So that's how it started. The fox is stamped twice and paper pieced as I only wanted the red bits to have the texture of the envelope pattern stamped over it. I used a little black pearl for the nose.
The circle is made by using two nestibilitie dies, one inside the other. I also decided that the sentiment strip looked bare so added a line of hand stitching on it.
I am also happy that I got to use some of my patterned paper that has been around for a few months.
I am thinking about a lot of people today:
- My sister, niece and Mom who have just arrived safely back in South Africa after a very, very long flight. I get to see them in December again!
- My gorgeous husband whom I miss more every day that he is away, but, only 8 more sleeps!
- My in-laws who are just back from another wonderful trip to Alaska and I cannot wait to see all the photos and hear the tales!
- My dear friend Jacqueline who needs her blood cound to improve and her son David to get better.
- And my friend, Lisa, who came to our rescue last week when we were all down with some bug and unable to lift our bodies into an upright position!
Bye for now before I get too mushy! It happens you know!

How sweet, Brenda. So nice to that you shared all the people who are in your heart lately. Love that idea and I love this adorable card too! The dotted paper is perfect for your cute fox!
what a sweet card, brenda!! love the way the little fox pops against the more neutral colors of the card...
This card is just adorable, Brenda! I love the circles and scallops and your stitching is cute, too!
This card is a stunner, Brenda! I'm glad I finally made it over here as I've missed seeing your beautiful work. I'm sorry to hear you were sick and I'm definitely hoping you are feeling much better now!
The fox with the envelope design printed on it is a great idea Brenda! Thanks for thinking of me on your blog, bless your sweet heart!
You know I especially love the nose on this little guy- too cute :) The paper is awesome as well- I need to break mine out. Great use of the color scheme too!
Glad I could help- only wish I could have done more! This week will fly by and Michael will be home before you know it :)
Another card from you to love :) And again you did a great job. The fox is my favorite part; such a clever animal and a bit sneeky :)
Don't be afraid of getting mushy; we all do once in a while. And I can imagine how you must feel with you mum and sister so far away...
oops now I am getting mushy; sorry!
Hugs!
Ooops almost forgot: and your husband so far away..
Gorgeous card. The fox is perfect with the sentiment. He really sort of looks like he is thinking. Love the scalloped shape of the base card too. The whole card just makes me smile!! Thanks for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog!!
