End of Week 1 of Summer Card Camp & New Hero Arts Contest

I can barely beleive it, but tomorrow we head into Week 2 of Summer Card Camp!  I have been away since Friday but managed to get into my craft room this afternoon and decided to make one last card for Week 1 of Summer Card Camp using  a sketch from Thursday's lesson and a colour combo from Friday's.

And the new Hero Arts monthly contest is up, Summertime and Parties,

so my card is a summery birthday card.

Paper: PTI
Ink: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL496; CL340)
Other: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Gem (My Mind's Eye); White Enamel Accents

I dry embossed the blue background and adhered it to a very light cream cardstock notecard.  The flowers were stamped on coloured cardstock (fuschia & purple), and I used a copic marker in each colour to add just a touch of shading.  I added some white enamel accent to the flower centres.

I am really looking forward to week two!  Jennifer, Kristina and their guest designers are super talented!  I have played with some unusual colours (for me) this week, and it has been fun!

That's it for now, off to make dinner!  Have a fantastic evening and Happy 4th of July for tomorrow!
