Ever been late wishing Happy Birthday to someone? Guilty! So I made this card and I hope she forgives me!
Penny Black also has a challenge to make a tall card using their stamps so I borrowed a set from my friend Lisa, I just had to try out one of those hedgehogs! And I will also enter this into the Simon Says Stamp challenge of Paper Piecing or Piercing!
Paper: Cardstock (PTI); Neenah Solar White
Ink: Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Shabby Shutters & Peeled Paint DI; Copic markers; Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps: Penny Black (Wonderful); Hero Arts (alphabet stamp)
Other: White Enamel Accents; Pearls (stash); Pop dots
I first created the background by distressing white cardstock with two shades of green and two shades of blue distress inks. I stamped the image of the hedgie onto the background and then again on a seperate piece of white cardstock. I then coloured him (in my case "her") and the balloon with Copics, cut both out and adhered them using pop dots. I added a bit of white enamel accent to the balloon. Excuse the red colouring, it is far from perfect, I just could not get it right. I then stamped two of the little flowers using Peeled Paint onto the grass part of the card repeatedly, afterall, I had to make this girlie, and popped up three of them seperately with dimensionals and added a little pearl to the centres.
The sentiment was made using an alphabet stamp instead of computer generating it.
Thank you for visiting! Hope that you have enjoyed your day!
