Masculine Birthday

I tried my hand at another masculinish birthday card. Not sure what I really think about it?  I may actually like the home made embellishment more than the card.

Paper: PTI cardstock; Neenah Solar White
Ink: Vitage Photo distress ink; Soft Leaf shadow ink (HA); Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: Hero Arts
Other: Twine (The Twinery); Brad (Recollections); Corner Chomper

Not a difficult card to make as you can see.  The pale green panel was stamped using the lovely Hero Arts Large Fabric Design cling stamp and the Soft Leaf shadow ink.  I like the silky soft finish of that ink, beautiful!

I stamped the centre panel with the ever so popular Envelope Pattern stamp and distressed the edges a little before inking it up with some more distress ink.

That embelishment was fun to make!  I just added the brad on a cicular piece of paper which I had covered with glue, then I added the twine around it until it was the size I wanted.  I finished that off by inking it a little with the same distress ink so that it felt a little more masculine! The actual notecard also has some distress ink around the edges to complete the look.

Are you having a nice day?
