A Card for Unity's Hip Hop Sketch Challenge

Something about this sketch, I just love it and I am so glad I checked in last night.  It just got me excited about doing a few cards using it, and I will enter one of them for the challenge.  Here is the lovely sketch, I can see myself using it over and over again.

And here is the card I made using all Unity stamps.

Paper: PTI cardstock
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Stamps: Unity
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Corner Chomper

I turned the sketch around on its side so that I could fit in the various elements I wanted.  The journalling card stamp is from the January KOM and the Butterfly and sentiment are from the February KOM.  I have never been one for using Journalling Spots for cards, but I see it is quite a common thing, and I like the way that this one turned out.

The creamish centre strip was first randomly stamped with the butterfly several times, in Vintage Photo, and then the edges were also inked to give it some depth and interest.

I know that butterfly is probably the simplest butterfly sketch ever, but there is something so interesting about its shape and wide open wings, I adore it!

Well, Spring must be on its way or it's just unusually warm, but I have just gotten back from my 5h15 run, and the temperature was in the early 60's, and I got so hot!  I think I forgot what 60's feel like, I need to remember that a short sleeve T-shirt will do the trick from now on! But I am so grateful for being able to get out there and just enjoy the early morning!  It really sets my day up for a great day!  You should try it!

You did a fantastic job with the sketch, Brenda! I love the way you used the outline butterfly as a background on the strip. It's so creative and something I never would've thought to do. Thanks for the inspiration!
