Shine and Sparkle

I have been really struggling to put together a card for the current Hero Arts Contest!  The colours are too challenging for me, the Thank You card option I just did not feel in the mood to make right now therefore I needed to do something with glitter.  And seeing as I make most of my cards for OWH, glitter was out.

Now to find another reason to make a card.  I am just not the type to simply make cards to keep in a box, I like it to be for someone specific and to mean something at that moment in time.

Anyhow, I figured it out and here is my card (which was very difficult to photograph because it is a long card, and also beacuse it was really challenging to show the sparkle and shine!).

Paper: PTI cardstock; Central strip from stash
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Versamagic chalk ink (Pink Petunia, Turquoise Gem, Tea Leaves), Colorbox White
Other: Pearls from stash, EK Success Scallop Border Punch, Glitter, PTI Limitless Circle Dies

I found a strip of vellum like paper in my stash that had some white and glittery pattern on it, I used this to make the central strip, which I then bordered with a scalloped edge using PTI cardstock.  I added a few pearls on the top and bottom border to bring out the pale green ink of the circle in the centre.

The three circular panels where made by stamping the Floral Brocade in various Versamagic chalk ink and punching out a circle of each.  These circles were then adhered onto a Kraft scalloped circle.  I added some glue to the scalloped part and poured glitter over it.  Each scalloped circle was adhered using dimensional dots.  Here is a close up of one of the circles and you can also see the shine on the background paper.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped using white Colorbox ink.

Thank you for popping by!  I hope you all had an awesome Sunday!  I had a very hard race this morning, so my body and specifically my legs are very tired!  Hey, that means that tomorrow I can take it easy and do some crafting!!!
