Last night was cup cake making night and icing 27 cupcakes! It should not be a big deal, except for someone who does not know how to ice but wants a cupcake to look really cute! Today is my beautiful daughter's 5th Birthday, so of course, up early to open those presents! And then it's her birthday party this Saturday, and I have a few more things to finalise before then.
Then Sunday is my next big race, 30km (18.6 miles)! I am really looking forward to it, but it's going to be super cool, or should I say cold! I know, perfect weather for running, except if the wind is blowing! So please, wind, just hold off until after the race!
Ok, enough ramblings, here is a card I made for Christmas for a family member.
Paper: PTI Cardstock, Glossy cardstock, Neenah Solar White
Stamps: Tim Holtz (Santa), PTI (Snowflakes and sentiment)
Ink: Adirondack Alcohol Inks, Vintage Photo & Broken China Distress Ink, Stazon Black, Juniper from CTMH
Other: Pearls from old stash, Doily from Michaels
I inked up two different snowflakes from a PTI stamp set with Juniper colour ink from CTMH and created the background on the card base. Santa was stamped with Stazon onto a piece of glossy cardstock which had been inked up with various Alcohol Inks. I cut that out and added it to a paper doily which was inked lightly with some Broken China and then also inked on the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
The sentiment was added on and also inked on the edge with the same distress ink, and pearls added to complete the strip.
Thank you for stopping by. Keep warm!
