I Miss You Mom!

My Mom left to go back to South Africa on Friday and I miss her already!  So, to try and make myself feel better I decided to make her a card and to tell her how much I miss having her around!  Not fun to have those you love so far away from you!

I know I'm all grown up, married, and I have a beautiful daughter, but at the end of the day I am still someone else's daughter, so yes, I miss my Mom.

Here is a card I made for her, she loves flowers and loves purple in flowers.

Paper: PTI Cardstock, Neenah Solar White
Stamps: PTI, Alie Edwards (sentiment)
Ink: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Other: Clear embossing Powder, Glitter, Gems (Hero Arts), Nestability Scalloped Oval Die

I stamped the flower (there are 2 in the set, one large, one smaller), several times with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to create the background.

I stamped the larger flower on the oval scallop and coloured it in with Copic Markers, added a little glitter to the centre and a few gems around the sentiment.

I like it, it's simple and I know my Mother will love it too!

I hope this may inspire some of you to use your craft to spread some love today, especially family!

She's sure to love it because you took the time to make it for her. My mum loves purple too! I know how it feels not to have your family around you - I'm British living in Switzerland. You deal with it but there's always something missing. Hugs Becca
