Today I am using the beautiful January 2013 Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I love everything about it, the stamp set, the gorgeous papers, the awesome woodgrain white cardstock sample, the journalling tickets and canvas buttons....just totally gorgeous! I made a masculine card with some of the goodies:
Paper: cardstock (Bazill); designer paper (Lily Bee's "city Persnikity")
Ink: Archival Jet Black
Stamps: SSS (Very Special)
Other: Journalling Ticket (Tim Holtz Idea-ology); PTI banner die
Isn't that journalling ticket awesome! There were 4 in the kit, I think I need to perhaps save the others for the scrapbooking I am hoping to get into very shortly!
It was also back to school for my little girl this morning! First day of Grade 2! We only find out the morning of who her teacher will be, not that it mattered as I don't know either one. It seems to have all gone well, I guess I will have to wait for pick up done to get the whole run down!

I've hesitated getting into those card kits but I really love what I'm seeing everyone create with them! This is such a great masculine card Brenda! Those tickets look like a lot of fun to use! Hope your dear daughter's first day went well:). Love that smile!
Masculine cards are not my forte and I am always looking for inspiring examples. I found one here; love the mix of a plain background and a patterned strip. The ticket is fab!
