Another day jam packed with awesome inspiration! I love CAS but sometimes "one layer" cards can be a real challenge! And that was today's focus. We received lots of valuable tips though and I tried to apply some of them to my card.
I knew which two images I wanted to combine and that I wanted to do some masking again. I just love the impact of masking! So here is what I made for a friend of a friend:
I knew which two images I wanted to combine and that I wanted to do some masking again. I just love the impact of masking! So here is what I made for a friend of a friend:
Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Hero Arts (Soft Granite & Soft Leaf Shadow Ink); CTMH (Heavenly Blue dye ink); watercolour pencils
Stamps: Hero Arts (Heart Winged Butterfly; Three Ferns; Everyday Sayings)
Other: Washi Tape (Freckled Fawn); corner chomper
Colouring in with the watercolour pencils was a real treat. I just really enjoyed making this card.
I used the colours for this months Hero Arts contest so I'm going to submit it as the contest ends tomorrow.
May your day be a happy one!

Wow! This is absolutely beautiful...I love your masking!
The minute I saw this card over in the Flickr pool, I fell in love with it! The pairing of the fern and butterfly is wonderful and I love your colors too, Bren! Gorgeous one layer card! :)
Lovely homework, perfect too for the HA monthly contest.
I love the hearts in the butterfly's wings and that gray polka dot tape is delightful! Pretty card Brenda, I need to do some masking myself, haven't done that in a while!
Beautiful soft card and very clever masking, Brenda! Hope you are doing well!
Very pretty and nice soft colors! OLC's are really a challenge and you made a great job of this one. Good luck with the HA contest.

I Love this, Brenda! Such a great use of the colors for Hero Arts this month and your masking is amazing :) I LOVE butterflies so this is really special for me!
Beautiful masking! It is harder to do since you have to do so much fussy cutting! Excellent work, Brenda!
It is so soft and beautiful!
Great composition Brenda ;-)
