Christmas Trees

I was wanting to make another Christmas card (I don't have many in my stash at all), and I wanted to try and flex my creative muscle and see if I could use a non-Christmas stamp for it.

As I was going through my PTI stamps I found the Hello Sunshine set which has a number of large sun rays in it and I thought, yes, that will work.  So here is what I made with rays of sunshine....

The photograph is just awful, I simply cannot seem to find a spot in this rental house that gives me good light, so I apologise.  I just stamped and masked the trees in three different greens, added a stamped gold star for the toppers and then stamped the sentiment in the same gold ink.  I also later added a few touches of Stickles here and there on the trees.

I am normally incapable of looking at a stamp and imagining using it in a totally different way.  I know this is a simple example, but for me, it's a big achievement in terms of stepping outside the box!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I love that you saw Christmas trees in the sun rays!! This is terrific Brenda! My husband bout me a small light tent a couple of years ago and it works wonders! I use an external flash, but I've seen all kinds of easy light set ups online.
