Back Home...

We just had a wonderful break at the beach and are back home as school started again today, this is the last term for 2014 and then this school year is over!  Wow, it's gone quick!

So, I packed a few card making supplies to see if I could make some cards whilst I was away and I did manage 4 cards (plus a lot of tangling!).  I've always wondered how does a person pack for card making?  I did miss some things like embellishments, dies etc... but if I had it my way then I would have needed my own truck!  I'd be very interested to hear if any of you have found the perfect formula to packing for card making away from home?

Anyway, here is my card:

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Patterned paper (some scraps)
Ink: Distress inks; Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: Penny Black (Social Butterfly; Soft Whisper); SSS (Thanks)

How big is that butterfly!!!  And I love that background stamp, I used it in another card I made which I will share later.

I will leave you with some pictures I took whilst at the beach:

A rainbow so big and so vibrant, so magical and so spiritual!  What a treat!  Taken from our patio.

This photo is also from our patio showing that the lagoon broke open into the ocean during the night! (See the right corner).  And that sky!

I will never cease to be thankful for this!

Have a blessed day!

Brenda this is wonderful. The butterfly is a true eye-catcher. Gorgeous vibrant colors and it seems that she is popping off the card. A handmade gem; wow!

what a lovely big butterfly Brenda. It is hard to pack supplies for time away. Over the Easter break I took a bigger suitcase full of craft stuff than I did of clothes!

Beautiful pictures!!!
I do travel a little and I always carry cards and tangle stuff. Generally I pre cut cards, sentiments
layers and a variety of pre cut die cuts. Have discovered it is best to use white then color when I know what I want. Watercolors, pens, pencils and the like. Works for me hope this will open new options for you.
Thanks, Charlotte

Hi, Brenda! WOW...what a STRIKING card! Gorgeous butterfly, fabulous color combination & sweet sentiment.

Ha! I know what you mean. I couldn't decide "what" to take for our two-week summer vacation, (I wanted to take so much), so I took nothing. But then, I ended up having to buy something so that I could do a little crafting. :-)

OH, God's amazing BEAUTY never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for sharing the FABULOUS photos. What a treat...indeed! ♥
